Microsoft recently announced an interesting product the Surface Laptop running Windows 10 S. Microsoft launched Windows 10 S along with the Surface Laptop to compete with Apple’s MacBook named as Google’s Chromebook laptops. After that HP and Acer came up with their first notebook variants running on the education-focused software. HP launched ProBook x360 education Edition and Acer introduced the TravelMate Spin B1 both running on Windows 10 S.
Acer and HP both have launched this laptop earlier only but this time they have launched with the same hardware. But with advanced windows 10 S software. Acer and HP have announced new products running on the education-focused OS. Now technically both the laptops have already launched, but now they run on the new Windows 10 S operating system and are also cheaper.
Acer TravelMate Spin B1 Specification and Features
Windows 10 S Education Laptop Acer is announcing an education-centric variant of its Spin B1 Convertible for $299. The new variant offers same 360-degree flipable design and offers an 11.6-inch 1080p display. It is powered by an Intel Celeron processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. And 64 GB of storage as for connectivity there is dual-band 802.11ac MIMO Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Ethernet, 2 USB ports, a webcam and an SD card reader.
While the keyboard is spill-resistant, it also comes with an active stylus that supports the Windows Ink technology. Acer’s TravelMate Spin B1 Convertible offers a 4-cell 3220mAh Li-Ion battery and supports stylus input.
The specifications are identical to HP ProBook but this one offers touchscreen as a standard option.
HP ProBook x360 Education Edition Specification and Features
Windows 10 S Education Laptop HP has now announced education-centric variants of its Stream 11 Pro and ProBook x360 11 EE at $189 and $299 respectively. The HP ProBook x360 11 EE sports a 2-in-1 convertible design. It’s powered by Intel Celeron processor clocked at 1.1 GHz. The HP ProBook x360 Education Edition is a rugged laptop an 11.6-inch HD and resolution is 1336 x 768 pixels display. The notebook comes with 4GB RAM and 664GB onboard storage.
It comes with military standard certification to withstand accidental spills and drops. The notebook is rated to last up to 11 hours on a single charge and weighs around 1.35 Kgs for the non-touch variant and 1.5Kgs for the touch model. It also has two 1080p capable cameras, one regular while the other lets users take video in tablet mode as well.
There are two USB 3.1 ports, a USB Type-C port, one HDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack. The company claims a battery life of up to 11 hours of school activities and homework and of course, it runs on Windows 10 S.

Acer TravelMate Spin B1, the Windows 10 S variant of this laptop price approximately Rs. 19,200. This laptop is available in select retail stores and online stores in the U.S.
