This also refutes the rumour about the company closing its Indian operations which were looming around last month. Mostly likely to be christened as Intelli Beat, this next-gen model not only be an evolution to its previous version but also a separate model from the all-new Chevrolet Spark.

New Chevrolet Beat 2017 Specification and Features
New Chevrolet Beat Design
In terms of design, the face of the new Beat has particularly gone through a major makeover. The car continues to feature Chevrolet’s signature two-part grille. The upper section, which also features the Chevy Bowtie, is flanked by new sweptback headlamps with halogen lights. The lower section of the grille sees heavy cladding and chrome surrounds, and the car also gets a new muscular front bumper with sculpted edges housing the new round foglamps. The new generation Beat comes is now more grown up with less edgy element which gives the hatchback a proportionate look. The new Beat will sport revamped bumper, new headlamps, new set of fog lamps, chrome accents on the front grille, new LED tail lights and much more.
On the inside, the all-new Beat is likely to carry interiors which complement the overall look of the cabin. It will sport 7-inch touch screen infotainment system and other newly added gizmos are likely to make to the list. Under the hood, the all-new Chevrolet Beat will be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines.
The petrol unit will be a 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine while the diesel unit will be equipped by a 1.0 litre SDE diesel engine. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This time around, the Beat is expected to get new 14-inch, seven-spoke alloy wheels placed below the revised flared wheel arches. The profile shares some similarities with the outgoing model like the blackened B-pillar, the two-tone ORVMs, and of course the signature vertically-placed rear door handle.
The India-spec 2017 Chevrolet Beat is expected to get the same petrol and diesel powertrain – the 56 bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine and 76 bhp 1.0-litre diesel motor, both of which come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
