Suzuki has brought the concept of Suzuki GSX-R1000 during the ongoing EICMA Show Milan. The bike is expected to debut in second half of 2016 as the company wasn’t able to bring it in time. One of the company’s report claims that the new Suzuki GSX-R1000 is the lightest. And most powerful superbike ever manufactured from the Japanese two-wheeler giant. The bike looks advance as well.
Suzuki Motorcycles has launched its flagship motorcycle. The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R in India. The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are priced at Rs. 19 lakh and Rs. 22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle was first launched 30 years back and has sold over 1 million units globally. Bookings have commenced for the new motorcycle at an amount of Rs. 1-5 lakh depending upon the city.
Suzuki GSX-R1000 Highlights
The new Suzuki GSX-R1000 will carry a liter-class engine with variable valve timing (VVT) having a 10-level traction control system. Launch control, three riding modes and a quick shifter that will allow the seamless upshifts and downshifts. For this bike, the company has developed a new “Broad Power System”. That appears to be a variable pipe connection attached between the headers. This will help the company to tune the exhaust for more power throughout the rev-range.

Suzuki GSX-R1000 Feature Details
The 2017 model is the sixth generation GSX-R1000 and according to Suzuki. It is a completely new motorcycle with revised styling and improved aerodynamics. The bike is having power a 999.8cc liquid cool DOHC in-line four engine. That is good for 202.1PS of power and 117.5Nm of torque. To put things into perspective, the power of the new bike is up by a massive 16.5PS. And torque by a marginal 0.9Nm over the 2016 version. The company has equipped the motorcycle with Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing derived from Suzuki’s MotoGP motorcycle. The bike sports a new chassis which is more compact and narrower than before and gets Showa forks. Braking duties are handle by dual disc brakes at the front with Brembo monoblock piston calipers. Along with motion track braking system equipped with ABS. The bike is shod with Bridgestone RS10 radial tyres and gets all LED headlights along with a fully digital LCD display unit. Additionally, the bike is also equipped with the new ten-mode Motion Track Traction Control System (MT-TCS). With IMU influence, fine-tunes the power delivery according to the track. Thereby helping the rider push his/her boundaries while riding on the track.
